Laurie H. Reeves

Laurie Hayes Reeves, 63, of Okatie, SC passed away Monday, April 26, 2021 at her home. She was born July 2, 1957 in Macon, GA to the late Byron and Frances Hayes. Laurie graduated from Warner Robins High School and she attended Middle Georgia College. After college, she met and married her husband of 43 years, Richard Reeves. She and Richard lived in Marietta, GA where she worked for the US Chamber of Commerce and later built a business with her husband, which they owned together for twenty years. Laurie and Richard retired to Callawassie Island in 2018. She was an active member of Church of the Palms United Methodist Church, Okatie, SC. In addition to her husband, Laurie is survived by her siblings, Byron (Mary) of Florida, Bo (Valerie) of Tennessee and Julie (Scott) of North Carolina, brother-in-law John (Anita) of North Carolina. She also leaves, to treasure her memory, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. A celebration of Laurie’s life will be held with a visitation on Friday, May 14 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and memorial service Saturday, May 15 at 1:00 pm. Both visitation and memorial will be held at Church of the Palms UMC, Okatie, SC.
