Leon €Œbuddy” Litz

Leon "Buddy" Litz, 75, of Bluffton, SC died Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at Hilton Head Hospital. Mr. Litz was born on August 12, 1939 in Washington, DC, the son of the late Louis William Litz and Clara Marguerite Grimley Litz. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Lumia. He is survived by his wife, Lucy Litz; son, Leon Litz, Jr. (Mari) of Midlothian, VA; siblings, Roy Thomas "Tommy" Litz (Jean) of Jacksonville, FL, David Litz of Tarpon Springs, FL, Helen Thomas of Maurertown, VA, Ellen Litz of Maurertown, VA, Louis William "Billy" Litz (Maria) of Mechanicsville, MD, and Keith Brian Litz (Sherri) of Mechanicsville, MD; grandchildren, Olivia Noel Litz and Madeline Rose Litz. A memorial mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, August 1, 2015 at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 333 Fording Island Road, Bluffton, SC. In lieu of flowers, the family request that a mass be celebrated in his memory or that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
