Leva Lou (Davis) Owen

Leva Lou (Davis) Owen, 89, passed away October 23, 2019.

Born September 17, 1930, to Rebecca and Gilbert Davis in Coyle, Oklahoma. She is predeceased by her husband, Haskell Owen, Jr., her son, Chip Owen, and her brother, James Davis. She is survived by her daughter, Cherry Hall and her children: Barbara Hall and her son Jack; Betsy Webster and her husband Kevin, their son Alex and their daughter Lila; Carter Hall; and Brenna Hall.

After graduating from Chicora High School in North Charleston, South Carolina, Leva married Haskell Owen and was a dedicated wife and mother, caring for her two children and supporting her family. Leva and Haskell were married for 65 years and valued their time spent with their grandkids and also time spent at their cabin in South Carolina. According to her wishes, there will be no service in Raleigh.

Services will be held at Saul’s Funeral Home in Ridgeland, SC on Saturday, October 26th at 4 pm with visitation at 3 pm. Services will be conducted by Reverend Thomas Kerry.

Burial will be in Grimes Cemetery, Grays, SC, immediately following the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hayes Barton Baptist Church TV Ministries, 1800 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh, NC 27609 or to Transitions Life Care (Hospice), 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.
