Lillian C. Pente

Lillian C. Pente, 81, of Bluffton, SC (former of Cherry Hill, NJ) passed peacefully at home surrounded by family on Saturday, February 12, 2022. She was born August 13, 1940, to the late Daniel T. Campbell and Lillian Quigley Campbell. Beloved wife of 49 years to the late James Pente. Devoted mother of Debbie Juliana of Sarasota FL, Sherry Cornely (Thomas) of Bluffton, SC and Christie Rice of Ashburn, VA. Adoring grandmother of Danny, Alissa (Mark), Nicole, Kaley, and Amanda.

Lillian was a graduate of Camden Catholic High School where she made many lifelong friends. She was a devout Catholic and dedicated former member of Queen of Heaven Parish and St. John Newman Parish in NJ.  After moving to SC, that devotion continued at Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church. As an active member of the Parish, she participated in various bible studies and prayer groups, including Our Lady Queen of Peace Prayer Cenacle, Christ Renews His Parish and Eucharistic Ministers of Divine Mercy. She volunteered at Saint Gregory the Great Catholic School and was active at the Saint Francis Center on Saint Helena Island, SC.

Lillian was an extraordinarily beautiful person, both on the inside and the outside. She had a contagious smile, fun loving spirit and above all an exceptionally generous heart. She loved shopping, hosting and attending gatherings, tennis, volunteering, and helping others. She was not shy when it came to political conversations.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30am, Tuesday February 22nd at Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 31 St. Gregory Drive, Bluffton, SC 29909 . The family requests memorial donations be made to Saint Gregory the Great Catholic School, 31 St. Gregory Drive,  Bluffton, SC 29909 .
