Linda Fletcher

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Linda G. (Fletcher) Pitts early Friday, May 1, 2026 at her home in Bluffton, SC. Born in Bluefield, WV she is survived by her husband, Larry Pitts and was preceded in death by her parents, June H. and Jack A. Fletcher.

Linda was graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and worked as a Critical Care Nurse in Winston-Salem before transitioning to Medical Device Sales where she retired from Abbott Laboratories after a 25 year career holding multiple leadership positions in Sales, Sales Management and Marketing.

Linda was a generous, giving person committed to helping those less fortunate. She volunteered with Meals-on-Wheels, Backpack Buddies, The Kappa Delta Alumni Association of Hilton Head, SC and with the Meals Ministry program at Fourth Presbyterian Church in Chicago. She has also served for the past five years as a Trustee on the Board of Directors of the Berkeley Hall Charitable Foundation and was the Chairman of the Foundation’s Grants Committee.

Linda had an infectious smile and laugh and became a friend to virtually everyone who met her. She had a unique ability to connect with people and make each encounter about them, never about her. She will be sorely missed by all those who truly loved her.

A private Memorial Service for Linda will be held in the coming weeks at Fourth Presbyterian Church of Chicago.
