Linda Handler Lack, age 64, of Bluffton, SC passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2014.
Linda was born on April 2, 1950 in Newton, MA, the daughter of Arthur Handler and the late Phyllis Schultz Handler. She worked as a systems analyst for many years for Polaroid. She was a member of Temple Oseh Shalom and was an active resident of the Sun City-Hilton Head community. She loved quilting and was an active member of the "Sew What Club". Her other interests were playing tennis, square dancing, volunteering at the "Book Exchange", traveling, reading, and maintaining long-term friendships.
In addition to her mother, Linda was preceded in death by her brother, James Handler. She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Ted Lack; father, Arthur Handler; brothers, Laurence Handler (Gail) of Holliston, MA and Robert Handler (Cary) of Newburyport, MA; sisters-in-law, Lea Handler of Newton, MA, Joan Molin (Don) of Wellington, FL, and Myrna Civitarese (Nick) of Green Acres, FL; one niece; and six nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 2, 2015 at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Road, Bluffton, SC 29910. Casual attire is welcome.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the American Cancer Society.
