Linda Shipman Lowther

Linda Shipman Lowther, age 71, widow of Jack E. Lowther passed away on December 7, 2019 at Memorial Medical Center, Savannah, GA.

Linda was a resident of Ridgeland, SC where she and her husband owned and operated Collins Construction Company, a site preparation company.  Linda was a devoted mother to her children, as well as her nieces, nephews and neighborhood children.  She was an expert seamstress, sewing for her family and friends.  She loved animals and loved to give a helping hand to all.  She was a Christian.

Linda was born in LaGrange, GA on November 13, 1948 to the late DeWitt B. Shipman and Willa Ward Shipman.  Linda was the twin sister of Carol S. Tillman and sister to Susan Malphrus (Tommy).  She was predeceased by her brother, Bill Shipman.

Linda is survived by her children, Meg L. Torres (Henry), Jack Enoch ‘J.J.’ Lowther III (Kathi), Nick Lowther and Jenna Lowther Beckett and her grandchildren, Enoch, Devlin and Dalton Lowther and Cassius Beckett.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 pm, Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Sauls Funeral Home, 310 W. Adams St., Ridgeland.
