Linda A. Mitchell, 61, passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville, SC.She was born in Switzerland, SC on January 20, 1950 to Virginia Chisolm Washington and Thomas Mitchell.She was a graduate of Savannah Tech; a former Plant Manager for Fred Gretsch Enterprises and a member of Christ Community Church in Savannah, GA. She enjoyed cooking and baking cakes at the Siesta Restaurant in Ridgeland, SC.She is survived by her mother, Virginia Chisolm (Harold) Washington of Ridgeland, SC; son, Mark (Monique) Mitchell, also of Ridgeland, SC; two daughters, Joy Mitchell (Kenrick) Chambers of Bluffton, SC; Deitra Mitchell of Ridgeland, SC; two brothers, Walter H. (Cynthia) Mitchell of Salisbury, NC; Anthony (Celese) Mitchell of Ridgeland, SC; three sisters, Dorothy Riley of Marlboro, MD: Brenda (Ernest) Shiggs of Jesup, GA; Geri (Michael) Jenkins of Tampa, FL; nine grandchildren, Crystal Sneed, Cierra Morris, Mark Mitchell, Jr., Jasmine Mitchell, Indiana White, Naudica Mitchell, Tyler McPherson, Thomas McPherson and Joshua Mitchell; five great grandchildren, Paige Sneed, Collin Sneed, Allysa Sneed, Tikyah Morris, Jaidyn Morris; two adoptive mothers, Adeline Sanford of Philadelphia, PA and Ma Frazier of Jaimaca; her dog Bella and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by Thomas Mitchell, Jr. and Alvin Mitchell, Sr.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, July 11, 2011 at the Mount Carmel Baptist Center in Ridgeland with burial in Ferebeeville Cemetery.
