Linda Patricia Pucko

Linda Patricia (Fleury) Pucko of Sun City, Bluffton SC, passed away on December 29, 2014 after a courageous struggle with ALS. She was born April 5, 1953 in Revere, Massachusetts and was a graduate of Revere High School. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Dorothy Fleury, as well as a brother John Fleury. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Timothy G. Pucko of Bluffton SC, Sharon Fleury, Whitman, Mass., Marie Pucko of Australia as well as cousins, nieces and nephews. As a result of her husbands work, they traveled around the country living in Locust Grove, Va. and Cardiff by the Sea, Calif. before returning to South Berwick, Maine. Linda worked in the Portsmouth NH area for several businesses, most recently for Meeting House Village in Kittery Maine. Linda was an avid golfer and a long time member of Cochecho CC in Dover NH, very active in the Ladies Golf League. Upon retirement in 2008, Linda and her husband Tim moved to Sun City in Bluffton, SC where she continued her love of golf. She made many friends through golf and was an active member of the Woman's Golf Association. Linda was the recipient of the "ice bucket challenge" from the Cochecho and Sun City Ladies Golf Leagues. Linda and Tim were avid travelers and had made 4 trips to Australia to visit family. The most recent trip that was on her "bucket list' was a train trip thru the Canadian Rockies on the "Rocky Mountaineer". A Funeral Mass for Linda will be celebrated at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 333 Fording Island Road, Bluffton, SC on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers the family asked that donations be made to the ALS Association South Carolina Chapter, 1023 Wappoo Rd., Suite A19, Charleston, SC, 29407 and Hospice Care of America, 460 William Hilton Pkwy., Suite F1, Hilton Head Island, SC, 29926. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30AM, Wednesday, January 7, 2014 at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 333 Fording Island Road, Bluffton.
