Linda Gale Sims

Linda Gale Sims, 78, of Bluffton, SC passed away Thursday, May 26, 2022 at Coastal Carolina Hospital, Hardeeville, SC.

Linda was born October 31, 1943 in Ridgeland, SC to the late Herman Malphrus and Margaret Strong Malphrus. She enjoyed caring for her family, but also worked as a commercial printer. She loved cooking, gardening, and fishing. Linda was strong in her Christian faith.

Linda is survived by her life partner, Charles Whittle of Bluffton; son, Sidney Sims, Jr. of Sumter, SC; daughters, Debra VanWensveen and Teresa Diane Sims, both of Bluffton; step-daughter, Madina Matte (Patrick) of Ridge Spring, SC; brothers, Herman Malphrus (Geneva) of Jacksonville, FL and Donnie Malphrus (Judy) of Lemon Island, SC; sister, Sandra Breland of Ridgeland, SC; grandchildren, Shawn Murray (Rhonda) of Guyton, GA and Travis Sims (Tina) of Bluffton; and great-grandchild, Reagan Murray of Guyton.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at Sauls Funeral Home, 310 W. Adams St., Ridgeland with burial following at Forest Lawn Cemetery at 2:30 pm. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 am until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
