Linda Jean Timmons

Linda Jean Timmons, 71, passed away Thursday, January 22, 2015 in Savannah, GA. She was born in Huntington, Long Island, NY on May 25, 1943 to the late Leslie and Mildred Monks Rankin. She was a retired Assessor and Appraiser for Jasper and Hampton County Assessor's offices; member, Holy Trinity Episcopal Church; queen of the local Red Hat Society; loved making wedding cakes and enjoyed painting in acrylics and painting all subjects. She is survived by her son, Lynn J. Timmons of Coosawhatchie, SC; brothers, Leslie C. Rankin (Frances); Richard I. Rankin; John L. Rankin (Regina), all of Coosawhatchie, SC; sister, Ellen N.Bartholomew (Joseph) of Mansfield, PA; grandchildren, Danny Timmons, Nicky Thames and great grandchildren, Brantly and Caleb Thames. She was preceded in death by her son, Leslie C. "Bud" Timmons and sister in law, Elaine Rankin. Graveside services will be held at Stafford Baptist Church Cemetery beginning 2:00 pm on Monday, January 26, 2015.
