Linda Carol Zaita (June 8, 1950 - July 16, 2024) passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 in Bluffton, South Carolina. A loving mother, daughter and big sister, she leaves her two beloved children, Alicia Marie Zaita and Christopher Robert Boice. Predeceased by her Father, Salvatore Zaita in May of 2014, she also leaves her Mother; Rosemarie Zaita; siblings Robert Natale Zaita, Lori Ann Mena and her husband Pedro Mena, nieces Rebecca Mena, Crismaura Mena, Elizabeth Zaita and nephew Nicholas Zaita
Of Sicilian descent, family always comes first with the Zaitas and she enjoyed being with her children, brother, sister, nieces, nephew and cousins. Growing up together was fun for all of them since they enjoyed sledding down the hill they lived on, vacationing, romantic movies, babysitting, even sneaking out of the house to go to the clubs in NYC to dance. Linda really enjoyed dancing, the doowop music of the 60’s and the band, Heart! She always wanted to join in with what everyone was doing.
Linda was devoted to her children, putting her own hurdles aside for their sake to make sure that they had the best possible upbringing. She worked hard at life and nothing got in her way.
Her family and friends will always adore her heart, strength and love for family. The family made sure she had the best medical care over the years and particularly want to thank the doctors and nurses at Sprenger Health Care in Bluffton, South Carolina for their caring and attention to detail, as well as the team at Intrepid USA Healthcare & Hospice who cared for her in her final months there.
She will be greatly missed. Rest in peace Linda. We love you!!
In lieu of flowers, please make charitable donations to the American Heart Association under Linda Zaita’s name.
