Lois “Jeanne” Pontarelli

Lois “Jeanne” Pontarelli, age 90, of Bluffton, SC and formerly of Rosemont, PA died Sunday, August 6, 2017 at Hilton Head Hospital. Mrs. Pontarelli was born on July 29, 1927 in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of the late Horace Rawhin Robson and Emma Mae Robson. Jeanne was a licensed genealogist and shared her time as a volunteer with the Philadelphia Genealogy Society, the Pennsylvania Historical Society, and the SPCA. She was very involved with the Hahnemann Hospital Ladies Auxiliary taking on an extraordinary amount of organizational responsibility. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 43 years, Dr. Dominic Joseph Pontarelli. She is survived by her sons, Joseph Pontarelli (Judy) and Dr. William Pontarelli (Dr. Elizabeth Loeb); sister, Anne Sisson; grandchildren, Rosemary, Kristina, Matthew, and Marc; and great-grandson, Eli. Sauls Funeral Home of Bluffton is assisting the family with a private funeral service.
