Lois Deloach Rivers

Mrs. Lois DeLoach Rivers, 94, passed away on Friday, July 27th, 2012 at National Health Care in Bluffton, SC where she was a resident since January of 2012.She was a member of Ridgeland Baptist Church and The Auxiliary of The Gideons International. She was born in Furman, SC in 1918 to Benjamin Ryan DeLoach and Sara Evelyn Loadholt DeLoach. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Claude Rivers; a brother, Joseph Brantley DeLoach and sister, Jeraldine Thomas.She is survived by her daughter, Dianne Scoville and husband, John P. Scoville, Jr. of Greensboro, NC; grandson, John P. Scoville, III and wife Diane of King, NC; granddaughter, Gwendolyn Ann Scoville of Charlotte, NC; great grandson, Robert Rivers Scoville of King, NC; sisters, Ernestine Frier of Columbia, SC and Lillian Barnes of Wilson, NC.Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 29, 2012 in Ridgeland, SC at Ridgeland Baptist Church located at 1448 Grays Highway. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the 3:00 service. Burial will follow at Lebannon Church Cemetery in Scotia, SC. The family suggests that memorials be made to Island Hospice at THA Group, 1211 Newcastle St., Suite D, Beaufort, SC 29902 or a charity of choice.Sauls Funeral Home of Ridgeland is assisting the family with their arrangements.
