Lona Esther Mobley Johnson

Lona Esther Mobley Johnson, 71, passed away after a brief illness on May 13, 2026. Born on November 8, 1954, in Inverness, Florida, she was the daughter of Francis Chafee Mobley and Esther Hay Mobley.

Lona was a devoted mother and grandmother whose greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her daughters, Stacey Sacha and April Hubbard; and her beloved grandsons, Jackson Sacha, James Jones, Brady Sacha, and Madison Hubbard. She is also survived by her sisters, Margaret “Peggy” Mobley Heinz and Mary Frances Mobley Jordan, along with their children.

Lona worked for many years as a bookkeeper and accounting specialist. Outside of work, she enjoyed spending time at the beach with her family, watching the television series Yellowstone, and relaxing while watching her birds and hummingbirds. She also had a special love for dolphins.

A Celebration of Life for Lona will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Sauls Funeral Home in Bluffton, SC.
