Lottie Wladyslawa Romanewicz Van Bernum, 79 of Bluffton passed away on Monday, January 12, 2015 at Coastal Carolina Hospital, Hardeeville, SC.
She was born in Poland on April 27, 1935 to the late Frank and Valeria Cryzewski Romanewicz. She grew up in Bronx, NY where she met her husband of 58 years, Edmund. She is a member of Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church in Bluffton. She enjoyed cooking Polish food. She was a banker.
She is survived by her husband, Edmund W. Van Bernum of Bluffton; her son, Eric Van Bernum of Altamonte Springs, FL; her daughter, Susan Van Bernum of Altamonte Springs, FL; her brother, John Romanewicz of Masapequa, NY and her sister, Frances Heller of New York.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am, Monday, January 19, 2015 at Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 333 Fording Island Road, Bluffton. The family will receive friends from 5 til 7, Saturday, January 17, 2015 and from 4 til 6, Sunday, January 18, 2015 at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Rd., Bluffton. Memorials may be sent to the American Lung Associaton in memory of Lottie Van Bernum.
