She was the daughter of the late J. T. McElveen and Katie Milton McElveen.She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Bluffton, SC. She was a long time member and Past Worthy Matron of the Edgar Mole Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.She is survived by her son, Joe Buckles of Statesboro, GA and her daughter, Linda (Willock) Horton of Bluffton, SC; her grandchildren, Bill (Mary) Horton, Gary (Suzi) Morris, Jonathon (Selena) Lewis and Phillip J. (Paula) Buckles; and many great grandchildren; step grandchildren, Victor (Cindy) Adams; Wayne Adams, Earl Adams, Jr., Robin Adams, and Geri- (Jim) Fludd.Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm, Sunday, August 19, 2007 at the First Baptist Church of Bluffton with burial in the Bluffton Cemetery.
