Louise Ann Boulware Jarrell
Louise Jarrell, 85, of Okatie, SC, passed away to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday, July 6, 2025. She was surrounded by her husband Glenn of 45 years and family. Her graveside service will be held Friday, July 11, 2025, at 11 am at the historic Pinckney Family Cemetery at Calhoun Plantation, Okatie, SC. Arrangements by Sauls Funeral Home.
Louise was born January 20, 1940, in Savannah, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Pinckney Boulware, Sr. and the late Hattie Ann Cooler Boulware. She was a 1958 graduate of Bluffton High School where she excelled at basketball and home economics.
Louise grew up in Camp St. Mary’s on the Okatee River. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Her love for the water included boating, skiing, shrimping and crabbing. She was a true Lowcountry girl. Louise expressed her creativity through sewing, knitting and crocheting. She also loved gardening, canning and cooking. In fact, she hand typed a 3 volume set of cookbooks of all the family recipes.
She is survived by her children, Pamela Graves, R. Ling Graves, Jr. (Sharon), Cheryl Hughes (Chuck), Allyson Bensch (Tony); stepdaughter Eleanor Gibson (George), thirteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren. “Memommie” was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
In addition, she is survived by her brothers, Joseph “Pinky” Boulware, Jr. (Sharon) and George “Tony” Boulware (Linda), sisters, Anne Yates (Kevin), Michele Walker, Elizabeth Haley (Ron), and sister in law, Cathie. She is preceded in death by her brother, Douglas "Dougie" Boulware.
