Louise Gregorie

T. Louise Gregorie of McPhersonville, SC, born March 10, 1957 in Ridgeland Hospital to Isaac Hutson Gregorie, Sr. and Eleanor Spivey Gregorie, died July 11, 2024 after a long battle with cancer at Friends of Caroline Hospice.

Louise attended Yemassee Elementary and Patrick Henry Academy in Estill, SC. She graduated high school in 1975 and went on to attend Lander College in Greenwood, SC.

Louise worked at Point South Best Western and the Point Café in Point South during and after school, later being hired as a radio dispatcher with the South Carolina Highway Patrol. After retiring from her position as dispatcher with South Caroline Highway Patrol, she was a regular at Harold’s Country Club, taking up money and cooking meals. Louise was also an accomplished pianist and organist, playing since she was six years old. Louise attended Ebenezer Methodist Church in Yemasee as a child and later joined the Episcopal Church in McPhersonville, SC.

Louise is survived by one brother, I.H. “Skeeter” Gregorie, Jr. (Beth); Nephew, Linious Martin Sauls IV (Anissa); Niece, Sarah Lynn Kalinowsky (Chris); Great nieces, Shelby Maikranz (Ethan), Macy Anne Sauls, Emma Sauls; Great nephews, Schaffer Sauls, Finn Kalinowsky; Special friends, Ronald Murdaugh, Jim Kleckley, and the Patrick Henry Academy girls; along with several cousins.

The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at Sauls Funeral Home, 310 West Adams Street, Ridgeland, with a memorial service to follow at 2:00 pm at Sauls Funeral Home of Ridgeland.
