Marcia Alene Payne

Marcia Alene Payne, 59, died Monday, December 22, 2014 at her home in Hardeeville, SC. She was born in Savannah, GA on August 2, 1955 to the late John Turner and Willie Ethel Fennell Turner. She graduated in 1973 from Effingham County High School. She volunteered for the Hardeeville Thrift Store and she was a Baptist. She loved Tybee Island and going to the beach. She enjoyed life and she lived every day to the fullest. She is survived by her son, Chris Pittman (Christina) of Hardeeville, SC; daughter, Sheila Terry (Jamie) of Grays, SC; brothers, John Turner (Olivia) of FL; Carl Turner (Jean) of Meldrim, GA; three sisters, Faye Ruthrauff of Norfolk, VA; Frances Rowland (Kenny) of Meldrim, GA; Shelby Leffingwell (Jack) of Munford, TN; grandchildren, Christopher Pittman, Adam Pittman, Carli DeLoach, Crystal Pittman, Jimmy Simmons, Paul Simmons and great granddaughter, Rilynn Simmons. A Memorial service with Pastor Kevin Leffingwell officiating, will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, January 4, 2014 at Hardeeville United Methodist Church. The family will receive family and friends following the service at the church Sauls Funeral Home of Ridgeland is assisting the family with their arrangements.
