Margaret Smith Cooler

Margaret Smith Cooler, 81, of Okatie, and widow of William Arnold Cooler, passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at NHC Bluffton.She was born on February 26, 1931 in Grays, South Carolina the daughter of the late Viola Tuten and John H. Smith. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Maye River Baptist Church where she was Church Treasurer and a Sunday School Teacher. She volunteered with Friends of Hardeeville Library and Hardeeville Senior Citizens.She is survived by her son W. Arnold Cooler, Jr. (Marsha), of Hardeeville; her daughters, Lynda C. Caddell (David) and Joanne C. Dasher (Wayne); 5 grand-children, Tracy Gruidl, Kimberly Taylor, Adam Cooler, Paula Scott, and Wesley Dasher; and 9 great-grand children, Colin Gruidl, Camryn Gruidl, Chase Taylor, Caroline Taylor, McKenzie Scott, Taylor Scott, Kylie Cooler, Cole Taylor, and Baylie Cooler.Funeral services will be held at 11 am, Thursday, March 22, 2012 at Maye River Baptist Church, 3507 Okatie Highway, Bluffton with a burial at Maye River Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 10 am until the hour of service. The family requests any memorials be made to the Maye River Baptist Church Building Fund.
