Margaret Falkenberg (Falkenberg) Katzan

Margaret Katzan, 88, of Sun City, passed away December 14, 2022.  She was born to Carl and Annabelle Falkenberg on January 4, 1934 in Hastings, Nebraska. Margaret graduated from Clarkston High School (GA), received a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill, and a Master of Arts in Sociology from Ohio University.  She married Harry Katzan, Jr. August 29, 1959 and commenced a remarkable marriage in which they traveled the world and lived both in the United States and Switzerland.  Margaret is survived by her husband, two children: Kathryn Grey of Tempe, AZ and Karen Harper of Rock Hill, SC. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Sara, Daniel, Leah, Matthew, Tom, and Kate. Margaret was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She passed her appreciation of travel, food, and quilting to all her children and grandchildren. Margaret was immensely proud of her family, and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories.  Funeral services will be private. The family requests that in lieu of sending flowers, donations be made to a favorite charity.
