Margaret Gail Peterson Holt

Margaret Gail Peterson Holt, 69, of Hilton Head Island, SC and wife of Richard P. Holt, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2008 at her home. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.She was born in Ellsworth, Iowa on April 24, 1939. She was the daughter of the late Vernon and Geraldine Tucker Peterson.She was a retired Unit Manager with Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. She was a member of Church of The Cross and worked with the Food Bank Program. She was a graduate of the University of Iowa. She worked on her masters at Xavier University. She was a literacy volunteer. She was a member of the Country Club of Hilton Head where she served on the Food & Beverage Committee. She was an organist and Sunday School Teacher in Ohio.She is survived by her husband, Richard P. Holt of Hilton Head Island, SC; two daughters. Barbara Mary Holt of Leominster, MA and Jennifer Ann (Stephen) Pirigyi of San Diego, CA; one sister, Barbara Christensen of Hartley, IA and two grandsons, Gunnar Peter Holt and Justin Pirigyi.A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at The Church of The Cross, 110 Calhoun Street, Bluffton, SC. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to Church of The Cross, P.O. Box 278, Bluffton, SC 29910.Sauls Funeral Home of Bluffton, SC is assisting the family with their arrangements.
