Margaret M. Push, 90, of Bluffton, SC died peacefully in her sleep on May 15, 2018. Margaret was born July 8, 1927 in Staten Island, NY, the daughter of Alva T. King and Cecelia King (nee Kitney). In 1950, on her birthday, she married the love of her life, Edward Push also from Staten Island, NY. They moved to Chappaqua, NY where they started their family and raised their three children. After the death of her husband in 1990, Margaret moved to Hilton Head Island, SC where they had always planned on retiring. She was a graduate of New Dorp High School in Staten Island, NY. She was a devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed volunteering in the health care field and was a home health aide in the Chappaqua area for many years before relocating to Hilton Head, and a volunteer at Hilton Head Hospital for many years. She loved helping others. She was also a member of St. Gregory the Great in Bluffton, SC. Margaret leaves behind her sister Edith, 89, of St. Augustine, FL. Her son Edward Push of Hilton Head Island, SC, daughter Marianne Carr (Charlie) of Bluffton, SC, and son Christopher Push (Tara) of Garrison, NY, and many beloved nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great granddaughter. Margaret will be laid to rest with her husband at Rosehill Cemetery in Putnam Valley, NY after a private family memorial.
