Margaret Elizabeth Raymond Cox, 83, of Hardeeville passed away on September 10, 2013 at Hospice Savannah.
She was born October 8, 1929 in Hardeeville, SC.
Margaret Cox was pre-deceased by her husband William S. Cox, son John Roger Cox, her parents, John Peter and May McDonell Raymond and eleven brothers and sisters. She is survived by a son, Stanford Theodore Cox (Bennietta) of Hilton Head, and four daughters, Deborah Fleury (Richard) of Ridgeland, Brenda Bragg of Rincon, Lori Childress of Rincon and Jeannie Rose (Doug) of Charlotte. Margaret was blessed with 15 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
She was a life-long citizen of Hardeeville, SC, an avid church-goer and attended First Presbyterian Church in Hardeeville. She was a member of the Masonic Lodge Ladies, Marine Rescue Squadron Auxiliary, and most recently a member of the Eastern Star.
She was co-owner of Cox TV & Appliance, The Gift Shop & the first owner of Joker Joe's restaurant when it opened in 1978. She was known for her fine country cooking around the east coast. She was a former EMT for the Jasper EMT services, and worked at Wal-Mart until she retired in 2006.
Margaret's kind and forgiving nature was felt by all who encountered her, her faith was unwavering during her lifetime and her devotion to God was steadfast.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11am, Saturday, September 14, 2013 at First Presbyterian Church, Randall Street, Hardeeville, SC with burial in Purrysburg Cemetery in Hardeeville. A visitation will be held at the church from 10am until the hour of the service.
