Margaret €Œpeggy” S Spor

Margaret "Peggy" Samuels Spor, age 93, of Bluffton, SC died Monday, March 9, 2015 at Bloom of Bluffton. Mrs. Spor was born on February 24, 1922 in Provincetown, MA, the daughter of the late Sylvester Silva Avila and Emma Meads Avila. She loved country music and was a professional singer with the Montana Caravan. She was an avid bowler and was a member of the Red Hat Society. She loved her family and her friends. She loved to travel and was always ready for an adventure. Mrs. Spor was preceded in death by her first husband, Lewis Edward "Sam" Samuels and her second husband, John C. Spor. She is survived by her son, Lewis "Sam" Edward Samuels, Jr. (Mary) of Hampton, VA; daughters, Diane Ward of Slocomb, AL and Janice "Jan" Fierick (Bob) of Bluffton, SC; and grandchildren, Heather Rau (Will), John Samuels, Dean Dowling, Mitchell Dowling (Shannon), Jeffrey Ellis, and Matthew Ellis. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Danview Cemetery in Eden, NC. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to St. Luke Missionary Hospice, Ridgeland, SC.
