Margaret Wallace

Margaret Foley Callaghan Wallace, 90 years of age of Bluffton, SC passed away peacefully on July 27, 2026 surrounded by her family. Margaret was born on May 15th 1936 to Jean and Francis Callaghan in Glasgow, Scotland and married Robert Edgar Wallace in January of 1958. 

After raising her three children, Margaret worked as an accounting/ personnel manager for a film processing company in Sun Valley, California. During her time in California, Margaret was heavily involved with her children’s school activities and various ministries at St. Jane Frances de Chantel Catholic school/parish. She produced and had roles in school sponsored musicals, i.e. The King and I, My Fair Lady and The Sound of Music! 

Margaret is survived by her children, Stephen and Lorraine Wallace, Mark and Emma Wallace and Pauline and Willie Giron, her seven grand children and eight great grand children. Margaret was preceded in death her parents, her husband of 50 years, Robert, her three sisters, Mary, Eileen and Anne Marie and brother Frank.

Funeral Mass will be held Thursday Aug. 6, 2026 at 10:30am at St. Gregory The Great Roman Catholic Church. Margaret’s cremated remains will be kept on the grounds of St. Gregory The Great in the columbarium. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Her sence of humor, generosity and unwavering love for her family will be remembered always.
