Margit S. Cook

Margit S. Cook, 74, of Hilton Head and formerly of Worthington, OH died Thursday, March 10, 2016 at her home. Mrs. Cook was born on August 25, 1941 in Schenectady, NY, the daughter of the late Herman T. Kaasa and Winifred Daly Kaasa. She studied early education at Wittenberg College. Her most joyous years were spent raising her children and being with her family. While living in Hilton Head, she was a member of the Palmetto Quilt Guild and loved going to the beach. Mrs. Cook is survived by her loving husband of 17 years, Bradford Cook; son, J.R. Wilson (Lisa) of Zimmerman, MN; daughters, Lori Reisinger (Joe) of Urbana, OH, Stacy Havens (Tim) of Washington Court House, OH, Kristen Combs (Christopher) of Portland, OR, and Sharon Northup (Christopher) of Dublin, OH; sisters, Karen Davis (Robert) of Northport, NY and Ellen Zerillo (Ed) of Glastonbury, CT; brother, John Kaasa (Rosemary) of Atlanta, GA; and 17 grandchildren. A celebration of life will take place in Ohio at a later date. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Hospice Care of the Low Country.
