Maria Louise Bishop Linker

Maria Louise Bishop Linker, age 61, of Bluffton, SC and formerly a longtime resident of Hardeeville, SC died Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at her residence. Maria was born on September 20, 1953 in Savannah, GA, the daughter of the late Walter "Buddy" Bishop, Sr. and Tommie Louise Ulmer Bishop. She worked for many years as a bartender at Frank's Oasis in Hilton Head and later worked as a realtor with Gina Scott. Maria was preceded in death by her late former husband, Larry Jones. She is survived by her husband, Ronald "Ron" Linker of Bluffton; daughters, January Elizabeth Jones Snow (Trey) of Bluffton and Eva Jones Simcox (David) of Ridgeland; siblings, Walter Bishop (Marisol) of Spain, James Bishop (Dessie) of Savannah, Wanda Grayson (Jimmy) of Okatie, and Joe Bishop of Hardeeville. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jackson, Luke, Nolan, and Sydney. A memorial celebration will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 29, 2015 at her daughter, January's residence in Bluffton, SC.
