Marie Elizabeth Mcgeehan Fripp

Marie Elizabeth McGeehan Fripp, 96, of Hilton Head Island, SC and widow of Robert Walter Fripp passed away on Friday, August 28, 2009 at her home.She was born in Hazleton, PA on May 8, 1913. She was the daughter of the late Peter Francis and Elizabeth Blanchard McGeehan.She served as Head Nurse at Beaufort Memorial Hospital and retired after 47 years as a Registered Nurse. She was a member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church. She enjoyed quilting and needlepoint.She is survived by her son, Robert L. (Kathryn) Fripp of Bluffton, SC; one daughter, Barbara Ann (Joseph) Pinckney of Bluffton, SC; one sister, Joanne Murphy of Abbington, PA; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.A Private Family Service will be held in Beaufort National Cemetery.Sauls Funeral Home of Bluffton, SC is assisting the family with their arrangements.
