Marie Pollack

Marie Pollack, 85, of Ridgeland, SC died June 19, 2014 at Ridgeland Nursing Center. She was born on October 30, 1928 in Duryea, PA the daughter of the late Metchin and Ethel Rominski Yankowski. She and her late husband Andrew "Andy" Pollack owned and operated Pollack's Tavern and Grill in Taylor, PA for many years. She loved to quilt, knit, and crochet and was an excellent seamstress. She enjoyed fishing. She was Catholic. She was predeceased by her husband, Andrew Pollack Sr., daughter Ann Marie Chesla, and sister, Sandra Flynn. She is survived by her son, Andrew Pollack, Jr. (Sue) of Houston, TX; 4 daughters, Carol Graham (Jim) of Bluffton, SC, Diane McGoff (Thomas) of Olyphant, PA, Laurie Mikels (John) of Forrest City, PA, and Deborah Harrison (Frank) of Wilkebarre, PA; son-in-law Joseph Chesla of Nanticoke, PA; brother-in-law Patrick Flynn of Pittston, PA; 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Private family services will be held in Pennsylvania at a later date.
