Marilyn Jean (Killinger) Mcintyre

Marilyn K. McIntyre age 91, of Hilton Head Island, SC, widow of Charles W. McIntyre, Sr. passed away at the Broad Creek Care Center on October 2, 2021 surrounded by her 3 loving children.

Marilyn was born March 12, 1930 in Joliet IL, she is predeceased by her parents Dr. Donald Killinger, MD, Pauline Bruns Killinger and her brothers Donald Killinger and David Killinger.

Marilyn was a proud graduate of the University of Iowa.

She and her husband moved to Hilton Head Island in 1980, from Bay City Mi, with their 3 children. Their love of golf and the beauty of the island brought them here where she stayed after Charles passing. She knew this was her forever home.

She worked in customer service for South Island PSD for a number of years. She always found time to enjoy the beauty of the low country, antiquing, and caring for her precious dog Garbo and cat Tabby.

She is survived by her 3 children, Ellen McIntyre, Charles W. McIntyre, Jr, (Linda) Suzy McIntyre Wright (GL). Her four grandchildren that she loved dearly, Samantha J. Kinninger (Christopher), CJ Steedley, Jr. (Christine), Kyle B. Steedley and Zoe McIntyre along with four great grandchildren.

Her final years were spent in the care of Broad Creek Care Center. There she was cared for by many earthly angels who she adored.

She was well loved and will be dearly missed.

A memorial service will be held in Wilmington, IL at a later date.
