Marilyn Marcott

Marilyn Marcott, 91, of Bluffton, SC and formerly of Wyoming, OH died Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at her home. Mrs. Marcott was born in Oak Park, IL on April 1, 1923, the eldest of 8 children of Julius Marquardt and Virginia Barton Marquardt. She was a graduate of Trinity High School in River Forest, IL. She devoted herself to raising a loving family and was known for her acts of kindness to her many friends. She was a devout Catholic and parishioner of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church. Mrs. Marcott was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Robert G. Marcott. She is survived by her sons, Robert S. (Jeanne Nehls Marcott) and Richard J. (Gloria Kozlowski Marcott); daughter Elizabeth Ann Marcott (Wilfried Schley); and grandchildren, Michael, Jenavieve, Rebecca, Sarah, Joseph and Shaun. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, December 19, 2014 at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 333 Fording Island Road, Bluffton, SC 29909. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Hospice Care of the Lowcountry.
