Marina Smith Kring

Marina Smith Kring, 69 of Metter, GA passed away in her sleep October 18th after an extended illness. She retired from the Savannah Postal Credit Union and was a longtime and arid member of the Savannah Shag Club. A few of the many pleasures she enjoyed included playing cards, dancing, traveling and Pepsi; she had a great love of God, her family and her country. She was survived by her three daughters, Alisha Larson of Fresno, California, Beth (Jimmy) Upchurch of Metter, GA, and Sandi Farrel of Metter, GA; two sisters, Ruby Grover of Ludowici, GA and Betty Jane Woods of Tifton, GA; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was predeceased by two brothers, Walker Smith Jr. and Winston Smith. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at Sauls Funeral Home, 310 W. Adams St., Ridgeland, SC. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 pm until hour of the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Gentiva Hospice, 5105 Paulsen Street, Suite 225-D, Savannah, GA 31405.
