Marjorie A. Taylor

August 17, 1924 — June 29, 2013

Marjorie Mallette Arnsdorff Taylor, widow of James Franklin Taylor, died June 29, 2013 at the age of 88. She was born in Ridgeland, SC on August 17, 1924 to her adoring parents, Lawrence and Kate Arnsdorff. She was a business owner and will be remembered for her grace, compassion and elegance, her dedication to her family and being instrumental in helping her husband, an Economic Ambassador of South Carolina, to build countless businesses, both in SC and the surrounding states. Margie was a graduate of Armstrong College in Savannah, GA; a member of the Salzburger Society, Ivy Garden Club and the Ridgeland Baptist Church. She is survived by her children, Celeste Lucas (Ridgeland, SC), Bubba (Aimee) Taylor (Ridgeland, SC), her five grandchildren, Lindsey Woods, Bonnie Shier, Paula Willis, Katie Richardson and Ross Taylor; eight great-grand children, two great-great-grandchildren and their families. She was preceded in death by her husband; her daughter, Robyn Woods and her son in law, Harvey G. Lucas. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to The Ridgeland Cemetery Fund, PO Box 1630, Ridgeland SC 29936. A service will be held at 11am, Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at Sauls Funeral Home, 310 W. Adams Street, Ridgeland with burial following at The Ridgeland Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, July 1, 2013 from 6-8pm at Sauls Funeral Home of Ridgeland.
