Mark Edward Burtell

Mark Edward Burtell of Hilton Head Island passed away Monday, April 24 at his home. Mark was born August 29, 1958 in Pittsburgh, PA to Edward and Mary Lou Burtell. He was a 1977 graduate of North Allegheny High School in McCandless, Pennsylvania. Mark operated Burtell Painting for over 20 years until health problems made it difficult for him to work. He enjoyed golf, fishing, watersports, reading and spending time with friends. Mr. Burtell is survived by his mother, Mary Louise Firsching Burtell, his sister Barbara L. Fava, and brothers Stephen G. Burtell and Richard T. Burtell. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward G. Burtell, Jr. and his sister Marjorie A. Burtell. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, June 3 at Sauls Funeral Home of Bluffton.
