Marlene Frances Burns

Marlene Frances Burns, age 69, of Bluffton, SC died Wednesday, November 09, 2016 at her residence. Mrs. Burns was born on July 9, 1947 in Irvington, NJ, the daughter of Earnest Menzel and Frances Hunt Menzel. She worked as an administrative assistant with the YMWCA and later with the Robert Treat Hotel in Newark, NJ. While working with the Robert Treat Hotel, she met her husband, Mr. Jerome L. Burns. After working in the hospitality industry for many years she worked in home healthcare until she retired. The family will be receiving friends from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., Friday, November 11, 2016 with a prayer service following at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Road, Bluffton, SC 29910. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to any hospice of choice or the American Lung Association.
