Marsha Lynn Weiss

Marsha Lynn Weiss, beloved wife of nearly 50 years to her husband Fred who died in 2012, and devoted mother to two sons, Marc and Jay, passed away on January 14, 2021 at the age of 82.

Marsha was born in Brooklyn, NY to parents Sam and Claire on December 28, 1938.  She graduated high school at the age of 16 and received a BA from Brooklyn College.  She then went on to receive a Master’s degree from New York University. During her early career as a teacher, she met Fred whom she married in 1964 and with whom she enjoyed a wonderful life until his passing in 2012.

After initially living in Westchester County, NY, she and Fred spent over 30 years in Poughkeepsie, NY, where she was a homemaker and a real estate agent.  During that time, Fred’s work with IBM brought them to live in France for two years.  In 2006, they moved in retirement to Sun City.  She loved her life in Sun City.  She enjoyed her many great friends and even became an avid golfer late in her life.  She will greatly missed by all who knew her.

Marsha is survived by her loving sons and daughter-in-law, Marc, Jay, and AnnaMaria.

There was a graveside service on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at Low Country Memorial Gardens in Bluffton.
