Martha Kaye Murray

Kaye Murray, 75, died Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at her home in Sun City, SC. Kaye was born on December 28, 1939 in Richmond, VA. She earned her degree in Nursing in 1960 from the University Of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia and was a very dedicated Registered Nurse for over 40 years. On October 28, 1961, she married Roger Murray Jr., in Lewes, DE. They lived in Wilmington, DE, until retiring to Sun City-Hilton Head, SC, 7 years ago. In addition to doting on her grandchildren; Kaye had a passion for nature and native plants and was a Master Naturalist. Kaye was preceded in death by her parents, Vesta Schulz and Ned and Marge Albaugh. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Roger; children, Eric (Linda), Melissa, and Robin; sisters, Nan Bowman and Robin Wong; brother, John Albaugh; grandchildren, Stephanie, Samantha, and Sydney; and great-grandson, Camden. A celebration of Kaye's life is planned by family and close friends in Virginia in April. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the caring staff of Hospice Care of the LowCountry.
