Martha Carolyn Turner Crapse, 89, of Bluffton, SC and widow of Walter Campbell Crapse, passed away on Friday, January 21, 2011.She was born in Statesboro, GA on October 6, 1921. She was the daughter of the late Grady Henry and Maude Hart Turner.She was a Realtor and owner of Martha Crapse Realty. She was a member of the Beaufort Country Corridor Review Board. She was a member of the Bluffton United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Hardeeville Edgar Mole Chapter Order of the Eastern Star. She was a second term President of the Beaufort Country Board of Realtors. She was a member of the Bluffton League of Women Voters; Bluffton Historical Society; Bluffton Gardeners; and Founder of the All Joy Beach Preservation Club.She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn C. (Marty) Smith of Bluffton, SC; one sister, Julia T. (Judy) Kerr of Bluffton, SC; one sister in law, Eunice Turner; one grandchild, Martha Carolyn Smith (Palmer) Golson, one great grandchild, William P. Golson, Jr. and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, her brothers, Edward, George, William and Mitchell Turner and one sister, Maggie Elizabeth Danley.Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, January 24, 2011 in the Bluffton United Methodist Church, 101 Calhoun Street, Bluffton with burial in the Bluffton Cemetery. The family requests memorial gifts be given to the Bluffton United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 368, Bluffton, SC 29910. The family will receive friends from 3 til 5 pm at the Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Rd., Bluffton on Sunday, January 23rd.
