Martin Blum

Martin Blum, 89, of Bluffton, SC passed away August 18, 2023 at his home.

Martin was born October 3, 1933 in Yugoslavia to the late Anna Deak. At the age of 12, Martin and his family fled to Austria, where he grew up and met the love of his life, Stefanie Hamedler. They married in May of 1958 and moved to Bronx, NY. After retirement, Martin and Stefanie moved from Central Valley, NY to Sun City Hilton Head, where they have resided for 16 years. Martin was a member of several clubs. He enjoyed pickle ball and golf, but his table tennis was his favorite!

In addition to his wife of 65 years, Martin is survived by his son, Richard Blum of Bluffton; sister, Eva Felkel and niece, Carol Felkel, both of Austria; and three grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 am, Friday, September 8, 2023 at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Rd, Bluffton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Compassus Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
