Marvin H. Merrick, 83, husband of Harriett F. Merrick, passed away Saturday, November 05, 2011 at Hilton Head Regional Medical Center in Hilton Head Island, SC.He was born in Brooklyn, NY on June 6, 1928 to the late Herman Goldsholle and Sarah Krakauer Goldsholle.He was a Broadcast Engineer for NBC for 37 years; US Army Veteran of Korea; recipient of both, Korean and U.N. Service Medals; member, Oseh Shalom and was an avid Handball player, Racquetball player and Golfer.He is survived by his wife, Harriett Fitzer Merrick of Bluffton, SC; two daughters, Melody (Scott) Kennedy of New Albany, OH; Melissa (Kris) Puri of Atlanta, GA; brother, Murray Goldsholle of Manalapan, NJ; grandchildren, Samuel Kennedy, Kasi Puri and Kaley Puri.Funeral services will be held at 9:00 am, Monday, November 7, 2011 at Sauls Funeral Home Chapel, 90 Simmonsville Rd in Bluffton SC. A burial with Military honors will follow at 11:00 a.m. in Beaufort National Cemetery, Beaufort, SC.Sauls Funeral Home of Bluffton is assisting the family with their arrangements. (saulsfh.com)
