Mary Ellen Collier McNew, 83, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2009 in the Palm Meadows Court Community Center, Hilton Head Island, SC.She was born in Chicago, IL on March 27, 1926. She was the daughter of the late Christian Strasser and Irma Irene Finley Collier.She was a retired Executive Secretary for Today Newspapers and she was a Presbyterian.She is survived by three daughters, Glennda (Grayson) Harralson of Hilton Head Island, SC, Kim (Ernie) Messina of Senoia, GA and Deborah Lovelady of Flint, TX; one sister, Ann Peck of Princeton, KY; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.Memorial Services will be held at a later date in Kentucky.Sauls Funeral Home of Bluffton, SC is assisting the family with their arrangements.
