Mary Frances Ford Tate

Mary Frances Ford Tate, 89, died Wednesday, July 16, 2014 in Savannah, GA. She was born in Anderson, SC on November 13, 1924 to the late William Stanton Ford and Sara Catherine Charpin Ford. She was an administrative assistance for the Ridgeland School Board; 60 year resident of Ridgeland; member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church and an avid golfer. She was the Women's Club Champion several times at the Sgt. Jasper Golf Club. She enjoyed bird watching, gardening and was a nature lover. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, E. Gary Tate, Jr. of Ridgeland, SC; son, G. Randal Tate of Savannah, GA; daughter, Gail Tate Blackmon (William Puggy) of Blythewood, SC; grandchildren, Ashley Blackmon Jones (Jared), Jordan Blackmon and Tate Blackmon (Randi); great grandchildren, Bailey Jones and Piper Jones. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm, Friday, July 18, 2014 at St. Paulâ
