Mary Agnes Francese

Mary Agnes Sullivan passed away peacefully on December 17, 2022. Mary was born May 9th, 1930 in Bradley Beach N.J. to Harold and Florence Sullivan.

She attended St. Rose School and went on to Nursing School. She Married Benjamin Francese on December 29, 1951. They had 6 children, Michael, Larry, Jerry, Kathy, Greg, Terry, and their spouses. They have 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

The love of her life, Ben, passed away in 2017.

Mary wore many hats in her 92 years on this earth. Her favorite role was always being a Mom and later a Grandma. Some of her endeavors were Executive Secretary for the Eatontown Chamber of Commerce, one of the first female managers at Consumer Distributing, The first publisher of a full color real estate brochure in N.J., and Real Estate agent. She was active in Spring Lake Community Theater.

After enjoying many years of retirement in New Jersey, Mary and Ben moved to Hardeeville, South Carolina to be closer to their grandchildren and eventually great grandchildren.

Mary attended United Methodist Church in Hardeeville and loved her church family. She was active in their fundraisers and Bible studies. Mary always said when she walked through the doors at Hardeeville United Methodist Church she felt at home immediately.

Mary traveled and cruised with her children and to say she lived life to the fullest is an understatement. She always had a smile, could make you laugh and you never, ever, knew what she would be up to. Mary always said she never "met a stranger". Mary was immensely proud of her family, and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories.

A celebration of life will be held at Sauls Funeral Home in Bluffton on Saturday December 31, 2022 at 11:00.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hardeeville United Methodist Church.
