Mary Helen Hudson Grayson

Mary Helen Hudson Grayson, 83, wife of James Harris Grayson, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2009 in the Beaufort Memorial Hospital, Beaufort, SC.She was born in Ruffin, SC on August 18, 1925. She was the daughter of the late James Atticus and Yonah Ulmer Hudson.She was a retired school teacher and Librarian in Colleton County, Hardeeville School, Bluffton School and Chatham County School System. She was a member of the Hardeeville United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Eastern Star and a Cub Scout Den Mother. She was a Yearbook Editor for Hardeeville Consolidated and West Hardeeville Schools.She is survived by her husband, J. Harris Grayson of Okatie, SC; four sons, James Harris (Wanda) Grayson, Gerry L. (Nadine) Grayson, Buddy B. (Bobbie) Grayson all of Okatie, SC and William R. (Laura) Grayson of Bluffton, SC; one sister, Frankie J. (Ben F. ) Evans of Walterboro, SC; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was predeceased by brothers, Virgil M., J. Laverne, W. Royden, Homer B. and Karl Hudson and sisters, Dorothy Baker and Ruth Biering.Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, May 2, 2009 in the St. Luke
