Matthew is survived by his maternal grandfather and step grandmother Ralph and Betty White of Hampstead, North Carolina; parents, Robert & Jennifer Rose of Bluffton, South Carolina; two brothers, Robert Rose of Bridgewater, New Jersey, and Brandon Mise of Wilmington, North Carolina; two sisters, Janine Rose of Parsippany, New Jersey, and Allison Mise of Wilmington, North Carolina, nephews Nicholas Rose, Matthew Alves, Toby Mise, and Mason Rose and numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. His best friend was his cousin David Hiatt of Greensboro, NC.
Matt was a special person. His love and genuine concern for others, especially for his family and pets, always came before everything. He was the heart of the whole family. His beautifully sweet and affectionate nature made him immediately loved by everyone who knew him. He had so many wonderful talents which he shared in a special way with each family member. He was intensely moved by music; as are his father and brother Bob. He expressed himself through his guitar; The Beatles were one of his favorites, as is his mothers. At his core, writing was what deeply inspired him, as is it is for his brother Brandon. His deep connection to everyone including animals revealed the tender and sincerest part of Matthew, very similar to his sisters Allison & Janine.
We were all so blessed to have Matthew in our lives. He was the baby, but taught us all the most. He gave us the gift of uniting our family as one from the moment he was born. He was truly a gift who has touched everyone he knew, and has impacted each one of us in his special way. He will be with us always and will keep us all together.
Matthew will be very deeply missed by everyone that knew him. We are all proud to call him our son, grandson, brother, cousin, nephew and friend.
His services will be held on Tuesday, February 14, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at Bluffton United Methodist Church, 101 Calhoun Street, PO Box 368 Bluffton, South Carolina 29910-0368. If anyone would like to donate to a cause that is dear to our hearts: http://www.epilepsy.com/make-difference/ways-give
