Michael Anthony Figueroa

Michael Anthony Figueroa, Sr., 64, of Hardeeville, SC, husband of Brenda Sanchez Figueroa, passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2021.

Michael was born April 7, 1957 in Miami, FL to the late Dorian Figueroa and Margie Cornelius Figueroa. He later moved to Hardeeville in 1972 to marry his childhood sweetheart, Brenda. Michael loved to play softball, was an avid Miami Dolphins fan, and adored Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Jr. His favorite food was fried shrimp. Michael attended Abundant Life Church under Pastor Winky Bowman. His commitment and love for his family was the most important force in his life. His granddaughter, Mckinley was the light of his life.

In addition to his wife, Michael is survived by his sons, Michael A. Figueroa, Jr. (Jennifer) of Hardeeville and Mark Allen Figueroa of Mt. Pleasant, SC; brother, Milton Figueroa (Tammy) of Winter Haven, FL; sister, Melissa Hulsey (Joe) of Quincy, FL; and one granddaughter, Mckinley Figueroa. He was preceded in death by his brother, Manuel Rivera.

A funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm, Sunday, August 29, 2021 at Creative Church, Hardeeville. The family will receive friends beginning at 3:00 pm until the hour of the service at the church. Burial will follow at Purrysburg Cemetery.
