Michael J. Kirwan

Michael Kirwan, age 83, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2023, after a brief illness. He was born in Ireland in 1940, to the late Lawrence and Ellen Kirwan and moved to the United States in 1955. For many years Michael worked as a Machinist for Marcal Paper Products in New Jersey and moved to South Carolina after retirement.  Michael was an avid gardener and was proud to share his harvests with family and friends.  Michael is survived by his wife Margery, his brother, Lawrence Kirwan, his step children, Jeanine Gilchrist  and her husband Geoffrey; William D’Addato and his wife, Laura; and 4 grandchildren; Daniel, Allison and Pamela D’Addato and Lindsay Gilchrist.  Michael will be deeply missed by his family and friends. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
