Michael Teofel Kowalsky

Michael Teofel Kowalsky, 84, died Sunday, November 4, 2007 at Hilton Head Regional Medical Center, Hilton Head Island, SC.He was born in Newark, NJ, on October 23, 1923. He was one of seven children of the late Sam and Lizzie Junia Kowalsky. He resided in Jackson, NJ until moving to Bluffton, SC six months ago. He was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Jackson, NJ.He was a retired Baker for Sunshine Bakery. He was a US Army World War II Veteran who served in Central Europe. He was very proud to serve our country. He was an avid Yankees fan. He is survived by his wife, Florence W. Kowalsky, of Bluffton, SC; his son, John M. (Texanna) Kowalsky, of Bluffton, SC; his brother, Joseph Kowalsky, Hillside, NJ; three grandchildren, Matthew Dykes, Texanna Tyler and Jamie Dykes and one great grandchild, Cole Tyler.The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 333 Fording Island Rd., Bluffton, SC at 10:00 am, Saturday, November 10, 2007.
